Minecraft Dungeons Opening Cinematic is a Minecraft Dungeons-themed minecraft animation made by Mojang. This animation was used to introduce the game's lore, and is also shown in the game itself.
Plot
In a land during the time of great adventure and danger, an outcast illager known as Archie tries to find a new home. He found a village, but then gets kicked out of the village. After that, he is seen struggling on his adventure and tries to climb a mountain, without any appearent end. Then, he somehow found a temple-like structure atop the mountain. He entered the temple, and found the Orb of Dominance. Hypnotized by the orb's power, he grabs it while laughs maniacally.
After that event, Archie, now known as the Arch-Illager, returned to his people and becomes the king of illagers and makes everyone bow in front of him. In the next scene, the Arch-Illager is seen commanding an entire army of Pillagers and Vindicators (alongside several Redstone Golems) to raid a village. During the raid, the Pillagers somehow fired flaming arrows while the villagers try to escape. A vindicator is then seen burning a house with a torch (somehow). Then, the warrior of the village appears, facing up against the illagers and a redstone golem, who is seen killing two iron golems at once. The warrior then sees the Redstone Monstrosity, who appears and destroys a house, then slowly walks to the warrior. The warrior trembles into fear, and starts running away while the Monstrosity jumps and crushes the statue, then roars. The camera then goes further from the village, showing four warriors (which are the players). The Minecraft Dungeons logo builds up, and the animation ends.
